Keystone was awesome. 48 degrees yesterday. 37 right now and it’s short sleeve weather with the sun blasting.

Nope! I’m at Alta and Snowbird this weekend.
Way too hot on Friday, nearly died from the heat and slush. Saturday was nice and cloudy and windy though and found some goods in the woods at the Bird. But Sunday was a legit powder day! Amazing conditions with some fresh snow. Alta on a powder day is magical.

I can believe it. I settled for Sunapee, and was not a fan of the “snow”

I’ve gotten spoiled in that I consider a day wasted if it’s not a powder day generally. Boy have the times changed from when I skied Vermont where I was happy to ski rocks, grass, and ice. Day 1 here I wanted to quit half day and wished I just got more sleep instead. But I’ve learned to also enjoy groomers and just being in the mountains regardless. A powder day like today though reminds me why I fly out here.

I love powder, but these groomed runs allow me to bomb it down at close to unsafe speeds. I forget my age when I get a chance to do this.
Some trails were a bit frozen to start but got better as the day went on. We did 15 runs yesterday and 10 today as I was pretty much broken from yesterday.
No day on the mountain is a bad day - good friends, booze, activity. I always have fun. I have two more days left on my pass and hopefully I can do this in two weeks again.

I was just there like a month ago! Schoolmarm was probably my favorite run because it's just so damn long. Absolutely gorgeous place to ride. Too bad it's like a three hour flight to Denver, then the drive up.

Very well spoken about the only bad days are days not on the mountain! I don't think I've ever tried to track number of runs, especially since there are some runs that last sub 5 minutes while others take over an hour. Just depending if I'm climbing down a cliff that I trapped myself on or if I'm bombing it. Yesterday we did five runs in a row where it was nearly nonstop untracked powder. Required taking a bus at the end of each run to get back to the mountain. So those definitely took a while but were totally worth it. Untracked snow is like an addiction. I will seek out lines through untracked even if it makes no sense to pull that line.

We usually go to the far peak and run Pika and Porcupine a lot. Frenchmen and Wild Irish are pretty good too - steep and not to lo many people. Now I live in Fort Collins - it’s 2+ hours for me to get there now. My buddy rents an apartment there so we go for a weekend when I get a chance. Only way I do it these days. It’s a great mountain!

Keystone offers an app - you just check it and it tells you all the runs you did. It’s pretty great.
I find powder in the woods on Pika Glades when there is fresh snow. It’s a lot of fun. Glad you had a blast!

I think the Ikon pass app does something similar. It tracks stats of some sort at least, but I dont have it on my phone so what good that does lol.

Yup, that’s the app. My buddy had Icon as he goes every weekend from November to March. I just buy a 4 pack and go twice.
